My story

My name is Greg and I've been in Thailand for many years now. My journey and the typical journey for learning Thai seems to be taking classes, learning a lot in those first few months, stop taking classes, plateauing and then regressing. I've done that cycle a few times, always learning with phonetics. At some point I knew I had to learn the Thai script to take the next jump.

So I made Type Thai just to see if it would work, I wanted something I could practice on my own and I was shocked how well it worked. I can go out in the world and read Thai. If it worked for me I imagine it will work for others.

What I believe

I'm not a native speaker, and I'm not here to teach you grammar, spelling rules, theory, etc... all that stuff gets infered when you start typing words and sentences. You start to ask the right questions about Thai after using Type Thai. We have lessons made by native speakers and Thai teachers, but it's still not a traditional lesson, there is no explaining, there is no why?

It's 100% practical, and you will start to figure it out yourself, which to me is the ultimate way to learn.
